Sailing is a form of boating which harnesses the wind to propel the boat. The main component is a dinghy and a sail rig. Other components comprise the rudder (for steering the boat), the daggerboard or centerboard (to minimise the sideway drift of the boat) and standing riggings that holds the sail rig upright to catch the wind.

A trained sailor will acquire skills in controlling and moving the boat along the desired course while constantly exercising and applying psycho-motor and judgmental skills along the way. Our basic sailing course will prepare you for this first stage of challenging the sea with just you, the boat and the wind.
